About Curtains Cape Town

Curtains Cape Town is a free quote-comparison service. You describe your windows once, and independent curtain makers, suppliers and fitters covering your area can contact you with their own quotes.

We are not a curtain manufacturer, supplier or installer, and we do not run a showroom. The business you appoint does the work, and your agreement is with them.

How the Service Works

1. Send one enquiry. Describe the windows, the rooms and your suburb.
2. Suppliers respond. Relevant independent curtain makers, suppliers and fitters covering your area contact you to ask questions, measure or quote.
3. Compare and choose. Compare fabric, inclusions, timing and price, then appoint whoever suits you, or nobody.

Why Compare Curtain Quotes

Quotes for the same windows can differ widely, usually because of the specification. One supplier prices lined fabric at 2.5 times fullness on a ceiling track with fitting; another prices unlined fabric at 2 times fullness, supply only. Compare the specification, not just the total.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not make, supply or fit curtains. Independent businesses do.
• We do not set prices. Each supplier quotes its own. The ballpark ranges on this site are guidance only.
• We do not guarantee the work. Your recourse is with the business you appoint.
• We do not charge you. Requesting quotes is free, with no obligation to appoint anyone.

Before You Appoint Anyone

• Get an itemised quote. Fabric, lining, heading, fullness, hardware, fitting and VAT.
• Check the business. Company details, a physical address and a working phone number.
• Check workmanship. Photos of recent installs and a reference or two.
• Get the terms in writing. Deposit, balance, lead time and any guarantee the supplier offers.
